screwed gearbox and diff in RA60

ok i was drifting my car and it wouldnt go into gear properly
and then when i got it into gear i heard a massive bang and the
rear brakes locked up, the gearbox has been playin up for a while
so i was gonna replace it anyway, and when i jacked the car up
and tried to spin the back wheels (the handbrake was off and
it wasnt in gear) wouldnt move at all, so my dads mate (whos a
mechanic) told me to replace them, and i dont want to replace
the diff with the same one, so is there any diff that will slot
straight in that has LSD like (I THINK) MA61 supra, im not gonna
get one for a while cos money it tight ATM so just need some
info

Yeah, it's the bit that says TRANS/AXLE. I'm tipping that it says W57 T292.

RA60's have a T series Live axle, as opposed to the F series IRS found in RA65's and MA61's. They are not interchangeable.
You will not be able to fit a MA61 LSD to you diff, or your car (easily, i.e it will not bolt up; the mounting points are different).
You may be able to get a T series LSD, but they are both popular and expensive to my knowledge due to the AE86 sprinter boys.
I suspect your gearbox may be ok, obviously check that first before replacing it...

You had gearbox problems and then the drivetrain seized up... why are you assuming the diff is broken?
Try unbolting the tailshaft and check the diff again. You'd be pissed off if you replaced the diff and found it didn't fix the problem!

Its worth a try (unbolting the driveshaft)...but I was under the impression that with an open diff even if the gearbox was in gear (i.e. couldn't move) that the spider gears in the diff should allow it to spin. Hence I suspect the diff...

I'm tipping T312 for the code. Definetly won't be a F-series. You would probably be able to sort out a centre for your T-series. That said, a 21R-C is really never going to have the power to drift, it's taking the "you don't need power to drift" statement just a bit too far.

You obviously haven't driven a 21R-C powered RA60.

Wouldn't a hilux diff be a better option as RA60's have a solid axle and Ma61's have irs ??

yeah the 21-RC is pretty gutless, thats why i was driftin on gravel, the only time ive ever drifted it on tarmac is when
im allready speeding and theres a nice long bend up ahead.
but still i hate the engine but cant change it. yeah it
does say W57 T292 my mate fixed it today i think he said
that the handbrake was stuck on or somthin like that, but i
still have an issue with the gearbox,
