i think most wreckers would have 22RE engines - but the 'T' bit you'll probably have to make yourself.

Did Oz ever get T versions of the 22RE or was that perculiar to the US & japan?

I think it was a US-only engine. The stock setup is actually very ordinary, so you'd be much better off getting a 22R-E and doing a home-grown turbo conversion. A custom manifold and a T3 or CT26 would be a cheap and cheerful upgrade.

Man i have a spare 22re lying round, I thought about putting a t25g on it for ages, just run low boost n woop it til it dies Laughing hahahah would hammer tho, cos there real torquey stock, mine has extractors and a thousand horse power pod filter LOL but man it really did hammer, just sus a manifold i'd say, if it dies after a few months/weeks, just buy another, there cheap motors hey..

AFAIK they only came out in US, so youd be doing well to find one in australia.

It would have given it more power, how much is the question maybe 5% gain with an exhaust.

I don’t want heaps more power I just want it more “driveable” if you know what I mean at the moment it drives like a truck and still has THDS built in (Toyota Hill Detection System) will an exhaust and maybe cam work make it more driveable

You would be wooping it for ages. These motors just don't give up.
