I was just wondering the type of jobs you guys all have? I'm a full time uni student and maybe looking at changing fields fairly drastically so it would be nice to see what everyone else is upto. Wink

IT job in the department of health. Would like to do something like a spraypainters apprenticeship, but have a feeling theyd want the "just left school" age people because they can pay them less....

Otherwise I would've liked to do something like that for a job...

Sitting in front of a computer = bad job...
Its alright at first, but then boredom sets in

Most mechanical engineers go into Building Services\Aircon or Mining Smile I know a couple of mech engineers that went in with aspirations of getting into the automotive or aerospace world but soon realised how difficult that is.

I eventually want to get a mech eng degree...but thats years and years of part time study away Razz

I'm an apprentice fridgey, as most apprentices i make less than shit money but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Spooky! I did a forensic degree (as well as a MedSci degree) too! Shocked

Same thing happened with me but I was planning a Masters at UTS. I had a project lined up and was promised this was going to go ahead last year in October but they ran out of funding and only told me this in March (I was planning a mid year start).

I got fed up with being dicked around so I found myself a FT job at Westmead doing Molecular Biology stuff.

If you are looking for FT work, try here: http://www3.health.nsw.gov.au/healthjobs/
