Warning - Beware Fraudulent Trader! Tue, 28 June 2005 01:00 Go to next message
Hi Guys,

Pulled this down from Skylines Australia as it appears a number of them have been ripped off by this guy posing as a trader. He has also allegedly ripped off a large number of NissanSilvia.com users as well, so beware he might attack our forums soon!

-------------------------------------------------- --------------

ATTENTION: THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN RIPPED BY ITPROSEARCH/GDTNO/MNIMPORTS etc - READ HERE!

-------------------------------------------------- --------------

Hi all,

Its become increasingly disturbing to see the number of people that have allegedley been ripped off by this individual Quoc Do, who has be masquarading around this and other forums using a variety of nicknames. I have been on the phone with the computer crime squad at Victoria Police this morning who are now fully aware of the situation and have provided the steps that those who have been shafted need to follow to enable them to build a case.

1. You must contact the police in your state
2. Clearly state where you are from, your name and your contact information
3. Confirm the date the transaction with Quoc took place, the transaction amount, and any other info that is relevant
4. Pass on the information listed below that we have compiled on Quoc
5. Mention that Quoc has been in jail, and was released not long ago
6. Mention that under his nickname of GDTNO, Quoc has allegedly ripped people off for over $20,000 as confirmed by his father who has had to pay this amount back
7. Confirm that at least 31 people by my count have reportedly been scammed here on SAU

Information gathered on Quoc

Please note: This information has been collected from details he has provided under his various usernames to those he has communicated with. We cannot confirm that the information below is correct, but it is merely shown for the purpose of making others aware of this persons actions so hopefully the next time he tried to offer parts and provides any of the details shown below, prospective buyers will re-think going through with the transaction.

Is it worth making this a sticky so when people make direct deposit payments, they can double check the account is not one of these?

Sounds like a Plan. I mean 31 Cases on SAU, plus probably double that on NissanSilvia (Since theyre FuLlY SiCk MaYTe!), and i reckon a lot of us might have got sucked in too as 99% of Toymodders are honest and trusting people.. Awareness is the Best Defense as they say..

A "Rougue Traders" thread would do, where dodgy traders details are posted. Probably best to be locked and can only be posted in by Mods though, to stop legit people being shitcanned by one unhappy customer.
