craig been waiting for you to get on msn, by anywho i wanted to ask you, i went to ask about volk te37's in 14*7 they come in 0 offset, and 38 + i think, did you have a problem with clearance at the front when you ran it, and what offset did you buy? Ueo uses zero but he has j-blood guards/flared so i am thinking... it might rub ?
thanks johnny

Zero offset mate
The fronts are 14 x 6.5 running 195's. Full lock they rub the back of the wheel arch slightly, which has to be beaten back for clearance. And one of the metal tabs for the inner guards has to be sawwed off. Nothing too major though.
The rear is 14 x 7 195's as well and no problems for the rear, even with standard flares.

lip the std. guard and a 14*7", 0 offset rim will fit with a 185/60 tire. cheap size to buy too. i used to run toyo's on a similar setup and there was no clearance probs at all, now i have no sprinter though just a laurel.

Yeah, 2mins with a large mallet will fix that. The easiest way to do it is to bash it back, and then spray with any contrasting coloured paint, then go for a drive, and then bash back where it has scrubbed the paint off.
My seals after a few mins of work are flat with the body.

I got the transducer from Humphrey's Instruments @ Unanderra (Complete rip off merchant)and he deals alot with VDO, so I'm presuming its made by VDO.

I am not quite sure what you meant by having the thermostat at the back of the head, did u keep the original position and put a huge huge in the firewall?
also yeah your right I have learnt a fair bit about all the mutiple methods of 20V RWD conversion and if you ever change your mind about how you want to hook your engine up them message me and I will be happy to help.

Thermostats still in original position. Firewall was beaten back due to the dizzy sticking out the back of the motor

Tailgate, RHS door, fuel cap, blocked, primered painted, buffed and polished, ready to assemble and bolt onto car.
My bonnet is getting produced this week, hopefully get it soon.
Steel tabs fibreglassed onto bar and bolted onto brackets.
Get license back in 2 months now.
Just a list of what needs to be done before then:
Paint underneath car with enamel
Fit sideskirts, rear bar, mirrors and carbon fibre bonnet
Guards, LHS door and bodykit to get prepped and painted
Assemble car together
Then TUNE!!! ENGINEER!!! BLUESLIP!!! REGO!!!

I dont know if its just the light or cleanliness of the parts or something, but the door looks a slightly different colour to the quarter panel?
Wouldnt normally notice these things, but seeing as your car is so clean its hard not too!

I just spent the last hour and a half from post one until now... the photo documentation is second to none. Every little step is taken with incredible precision, i'm suprised at how dedicated you are to posting the progression of this as well as the work on the car. Well done!!!
Thank you for providing all of us as it would appear so much inspiration for our own projects. Truly a master and a genius (and ur dad too).
Good luck with the final stretch.
Are you planning to come to melbourne for that massive meet up?
