Well Toymods was once a club full of sprinters and celicas, but something new is in the air. Its the smell of 1Jzgte motors being snaped up and put into all shapes of cars.

List your 1jzgte Ride Below. The more 1j owners we have, the more we can know about such a fantastic motor. RIP 7m's Razz

Luke

Ah what a pity. Still, perhaps a 7mgte is a more realistic conversion prospect financially.

This happened Mad

http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/501/supraouch21ea.th.jpg
http://img256.echo.cx/img256/8071/supraouch19df.th.jpg

Brand new BA XR8 went up the ass of a < 10000k old Honda Accord at about 50k's an hour, and as a result, the accord hit me. I actually saw it coming and was able to localise/minimise the damage..

Still, that 5 grand worth of damage right there, and 2 weeks at the repairers..

Happened 2 months ago now. Only got it in to the repairers 1 week ago because I had to wait 3 weeks for the parts and 3 weeks to sort out getting my claim through.

Very annoyed, it had been at the mechanic for 2 weeks and I picked it up that afternoon and was driving home when it happened. Rolling Eyes

Haha Peeack, I wish I knew that before I bought the car! Nah it's all good, just cosmetic damage, I'll be throwing in a set of coilovers as soon as she's back on the road (if all goes to plan), hopefully when the car is sitting much nicer over thr wheels they will be happy and lift their curse Smile

lumpy (Caelum) It's Rory (that used to have the maroon VL turbo). Shouldnt have sold ya car mate! Smile
Steve's probably told ya I've got an immaculate MA70 now that Karl's putting a 1jz into next week!
I've already bought a TRD clutch for the conversion and have a deposit down on a pair of HKS T3g's. I'll take you for a drive when I finish.

haha whats my secret? ... 4 letters i can some it up...L O V E
Cool

250 on stock turbos is awesome, i actually did a 235.1 kw run but the boost reading was inaccurate i could run a little more boost with no dramas but the fact the car made 234 on about 4-5 runs was impressive

well i need 2 new tyres on the rear, im not sure whether to lash out on some nice tyres or go a bit budget on them and put some decent drag radials on the stock 15" rims

or borrow 2 wheels for the night...hint hint Wink

i would lend you mine, but unless you have solid trailing arm bushes they will get cut up by the guard, as the wheel moves forward in the wheel arches.

if your going to get into a bit of drag racing, go to rocket, ask for anthony penna and get a set of 235/60/15 mt et radials. they should be about 250 each.

it should run a 12 easy on those sort of tyres. or we could chuck my simmons on it.
