i am the current owner of a mx83 toyota cressida, after doing minor mods on the big girl.. wheels, sway bars, springs and shocks. i decide to go for the 1j this wasn't a decision i was ready to make but when the 7m died on me it was a message from god lol,(after doing 2 head gaskets!!!) it was time for the all mighty 1jz. i was recommended from acouple of mates to see jt at jt auto gas and he started it straight away, i couldn't manage to get a chaser front cut so just got the engine package and gearbox(auto) from sss automotive after ringing up acouple of times i finally got someone that wanted to sell me one. it was delivered the next day.. its still currently getting the conversion with 3 inch stainless steel exhaust system and inter-cooler and pipe work... i just wanna know how the 1js really go??? I've never had a turbo car and I'll been told this is a flyer can anyone tell me how the 1jz go in a limo cressy??? thanks heaps...

10.70 over the 1/4 in full street trim a good indication? Wink

There should be another 1j cressida at JT being fixed up, a mate of mine Andrews. Have a talk to him if you see him.

Yeah all stock 1jz cressi's will run 10's easy Razz

If you do the regular power up mods and can launch the car 12s are attainable on stock turbos.

I have one (in Newcastle too) with a 1JZ in it also, you are welcome to take a look at it and I can take you for a spin Smile They certainly do fly! With stock 1JZ they do a mid to low 14, with minor mods they do very high 13s, and as said earlier you can just dip into the 12's with medium mods before having to upgrade to a big single turbo.
Get them to do up some twin dump pipes for your turbos while they are putting the exhaust and motor in, you gain a stack of power that way.

Drop me a PM or e-mail if you want to chat further Smile

well i saw plenty of 1jz cressi's yesterday and most put out around the 170-200kw rwkw range pretty impressive especially considering some of the converts aka the mx73 that put down 200.7rwkw had literally just been finished. Very Happy
Good luck with the convo and hope you will be happy with the result they hammer and they hammer hard go the grandpa car with the heart of a teenager Very Happy

its black on top side and grey the rest. its also been cut to suit the intercooler and pipes but its been done neatly looks good little marks here and there but no deep scratches to the surface i'll end up getting it painted aswell as rear bumper and side pin strips i've done abit of hacking to the blinkers, to fit the globes... lazyness on my behalf, thanks for the offer tho Smile
