help anyone in Melb?? Sun, 03 July 2005 02:31 Go to next message
I am really fed up with engine problem now. The worst thing is that no one has clear idea of what is wrong with it. I tried a few mechanics and many kind people from toymods helped me out but problem is still there.

Problem is I can not take a car to workshop during week days and I did not want to drive far from my place due to condition of the car. (I am in Moonee Ponds). Is there anyone in Melbourne who has knowledge of AE86, 4age, 4agte willing to help me out? Maybe come and check it out on weekends or something?

Cheers

Bosco

OK, off the top of my head with all the information presented I'll diagnose:

1 - Dodgy wiring/sensors not hooked up properly/rooted sensor (knock sensors dying seems to be flabour of the month)
2 - Vacuum/boost leak or vac lines not hooked up properly
3 - Fuel pump dying/bad earth
4 - Something else

Hen

PS, this post is only partly taking the piss, the above suggestions are serious, but some more info would be very helpful if you'd like people here to help.
