hehe the mighty 22re dyno graph, probably the longets peak range out of the cars there pretty much flat from 3.2krpm and doesn't go back under 60 and hadn't reached the factory peak rpm (by my calcs) weird so about a 1.5-2krpm range at 60rwkw.
Hehe a lot beefier down low than the 86kw 4ag that was stock but its hardly a fair comparison considering i have an extra 800cc.

Probably explains the fuel consumption... I always thought it was just my driving style
If its running that rich then you've probably got some room to move on that 96.9kW just by getting it probably tuned by Dave.

SW20R the man you are looking for goes by the nick of "Joshstix" he has a mighty fine AW11 that's about to receive some very special Gen3 3S-GTE treatment, from the looks of the block, headwork and turbo it's gonna be nice!
All these cars I wanna ride shotgun in....Glen, Josh the list is endless.

complete results table is a few posts back
indeed there will be much kudos for the VERY respectable 243000 or so Watts the MZ21 laid down at 3/4rpm and 0.8bar boost.... after a quick start to the tuning on the morning of dyno day! I see a new Killerwatt King in the making.
Now that we have seen some of these cars turn some VERY respectable numbers.... lets go get some 1/4 mile times!!!
There are a few 1/4 mile records that can be broken here!

Thanks to all those involved - it was great to finally get Project Sleeper on the rollers. When I started the project - I was saying I would be happy to get anything over 195kW which was my previous car, so 222 is great in that respect considering it's 100% engineered and running factory ECU etc
The only dissapointing aspect (don't get me wrong, I *AM* happy with 222kW) - was the fact he couldn't take it above about 6,000 rpm due to it leaning out. That will be addressed and the injectors are coming out to be flow tested and either cleaned or replaced and we may make a few mods to reduce the boost as it was hitting an uncontrolled 16-17psi due to the free flowing 'zorst.

Southo - if you dont mind, can we see your dyno graph?
I remember having these talks with the Norb, with regards to increased exhaust flow from his dump pipe and exhaust causing boost levels to increase at high rpm. I will have a chat to the man to remember what the discussed theories were on the solutions.......
are you running straight actuator pressure?

No Probs,
I'll scan it tonight when I get home
Yep, I am running twin 2" dumps straight off the turbo's into a 3" single system, so the factory boost control is long gone...

What can I say, the bar has really been lifted in a lot of the categories. I can't remember a dyno day where so many class records were so thoroughly smashed.
A big thanks to everyone that came to the event. Especially the guys who had to travel from Newcastle and Canberra. I'll have to find time to get some of our guys up to one of your events in the future to return the patronage.

Yeah awsome day.
Thanks to everyone for coming and supporting it and the raffle.
I was a little tired after a large nightbut kept going.
Was quite surprised at 103 kw from the falcon.
I was expecting about 80kw.
I might try and drag dad's Crown down for DD12 so I'll see you all there.

I'd also like to thank you guys for putting on excellent, day especially the guys behind the BBQ and in the admin office that forgave watching a fairbit of the event to make the day run smoothly.
And to the raffle guys aparts from the constant lies which were amusing i have to give it too you for walking around with shit written on your back for most of the day. Top day and hopefully will be at the next one maybe without the rona though, if i still have it i'll come just to spectate as i can't see anything being done to it too soon.

Thanks for a tops day!
Special thanks goes to YelloRolla from big worm and EMP2TG for leaving the animalistic KE20 at home and letting them bathe in it's absence, it was really no trouble at all guys
I reckon that now that I have hooked up the other plug lead (missing on ALL previous dyno days) that the 3T may have taken the challenge to the 1G (and possibly Andrew's JZA70), such a shame that it couldn't be there to support these allegations - so I guess you fine people will have to take me on my impeccable word
cressida chick's one jay promises that it may have more to offer in the near future - time will tell all....

Once again I had a good day for the time I was there, apart for not winning the raffle j/k
Apart from that, yes the BBQ guys did such a good job I had to have 2 Egg & Bacon rolls, thank you.
Now once again watching the figures that where being put out by these Toyota engines, If it means any thing to you guys I tip my hat to you & give you the RESPECT that you ALL deserve, you have shown me that Toyota Power can be a force to be reckoned with.
I wish I had known you guys before I put my V6 in my truck.

Hmmm, sentiments shared... verbatim. I was happy that my car got what I was aiming for, only just. Remember too that this bitch isn't dyno-tuned yet, only running for the road. First run was 136.8kw, and I thought it had a bit more left in it... only just. I wasn't THAT impressed with the figure, I thought it had a bit more in it than it did.
If I run it again next time, I don't know how much more I'll be able to squeeze out of it with the engine properly tuned. I was also a little surprised that there weren't any other 4WD competitors on the day. Doesn't really feel like I've won anything, even though it was Top 4WD on the day. Classique, Troy and Dave, I need something to shoot for... I'm not sure what else I can do to get it up around the 160awkw mark like I would like to achieve.

Just took a look through the Dyno Day History Lesson thread, and learned that my result wasn't that bad after all... only Dave McNeill has bettered it on DD7 with 160awkw. Maybe my expectations of my car were a bit high this time.. But I'm still happy with the result.

RAV-GT4 wrote on Fri, 08 July 2005 16:19 | Just took a look through the Dyno Day History Lesson thread, and learned that my result wasn't that bad after all... only Dave McNeill has bettered it on DD7 with 160awkw. Maybe my expectations of my car were a bit high this time.. But I'm still happy with the result.

Hey Andrew, Just remember - DD7 was not run in shootout mode, and Dave's 160awkw was on the same dyno that my car turned 49kw on

That wasn't intended to be a bubble burster btw - More a motivator to keep chasing more powah!
I still think you should be damn proud of your result

well for arguements sake - mine did about 115AWKW by memory that day
before the ECU swap recently - they ran her again - and got 113 KW - then close to 120 ish after on a rough tune ..
So id have faith in the Gt4 figures at least ...

All dramas concerning certain DD7 figures aside,

is exactly what I was trying to get at

Sorry I couldn't make it peoples, but I was otherwise occupied - sitting in a hot-tub full of chicks in Maui. (serious!) Still, I might have to make the trip up next time and teach a few people a few lessons

Dyno Day 7 was a bit of a farce for figures I think... consider the same ~40% drivetrain losses on the RAV4 and the 3S-FE engine kW output figure (rated at 96kW), and putting down 74.6 on the first run and 90.8 on the second?
Yeah Paul, that 49kW compared to your recent figures (76 was it?) only confirms it. Still, 140awkw was the minimum I was chasing, so i'm happy with that at least. Next step is to get the funds together to tune it PROPERLY and then see what kind of power it puts down.
Where can I find Dave McNeill's ride to see what he's done to his ST205? Just want to compare some notes. Dav has already thrown down the gauntlet for next Dyno Day (12), he's hoping to have his rebuild done and wants to challenge 140.1awkw. See you there Dav.
Paul, it's not a bubble-burster for me mate, I look at it as apples and oranges.... the 3S-GTE I have now is not the 3S-FE I once had. Yes I'll be there next time chasing more powah...

on the topic of the liberty. I saw a dead stock B4 liberty on the dyno on saturday. I couldn't believe it but as soon as it hit boost it started pinging its head off! They couldn't run it at more than 1psi. This car was 100% stock not even exhaust or boost controller or anything. Must be tuned for 104 octane or something????

B4's are a bit of a shit heap according to ppl i have talked to that owned them and any car mag article on them the sequential turbo setup sucked balls was very laggy and wasn't quick to drive.
The new Gt on the other hand is another animal altogether and is awesome (in manual) auto still sucks as it robs power.
