hi all,
i was just wondering if anyone knew of a place in australia that smokes lights...like tail lights/indicators etc.

go get em tinted at a window tinting place. tell em its going on a show car though not a road registerd car and that way they shouldnt have a problem with it as they are illeagal

i saw an autocheap rx7 with smoked tail lights the other day...i'm pretty sure the police would know about it being a company car kinda thing.

Thats BS that tinted lights are illegal, my mate has had his rear lights tinted for over a year, hasn't been pulled over once.

dont do more than 2 coats- other wise at night it will be hard to see your lights. But yeah it is illegal. Smoking taillights in general is illegal.

If by Altezza, you mean the Toyota Altezza, and by that you mean Toyota, then yes, they do make lights for old supras, check the back of your car, should be somewhere between the bumper and the hatch.

what about tinting sections? my neighbour masked little slots then sprayed tinting on it dark, so his light were a bunch of slits instead of a solid light, there were about 4 each of 1cm width to give you an idea.

does this stuff come off easy??
I wonder how a light coat of it might look on my soarer...
Tinted lights... hmm...
Will have to get those uber bright bulbs though, but i would only do a light coat anyway so i doubt it would impede visibility much... but that's why i was wondering if it comes off easy. If it does, I'm all for trying it!
Easiest way though is if your car comes with headlight protectors, tint those. then you can take them off and put them on at will

Is that all it is? hmm... I thought it might have been some other stuff.
Paint stripper's probably too harsh to use on the plastic covers in front of my soarer headlights.
Not worth the risk.

Yeah it comes off with metho. Its not bad shit, i rate it
I done it 2 my old S12 and then i got sick of it so methowed it, haha and it all came off properly. I did about 3 coats and it was pitch black.
You can even put a bit of polish on your taillights after a week u have painted it and it comes pretty shiny, or if u are feeling extreme paint sum clear over them
