Hello Everyone! Im New dude! Toyota Lover.
This Is my project.
92 st184 Celica.
I buy It Cheep with a smack in the front.
So Far Ive Got The old 5SFE Put in some forged bits.
Found an old GE Head At the shop. Give the holes a bit of a polish!
Fitted it to the 2.2. A bit tricky But fun. Water ports a little diffrent.
Its soon to go in for a new Lick of red Jam and a Veilside Front bar. sidies, And rear skirt. Not sure on wheels yet? At least 19"s of some sort.
It will be a steady job for a little While. Us Mechanics Dont make much money .( poor buggers) But we Love to have our hands on our tools. Very Happy

Cool project. I'll be following the progress.

I drive a stock 92 ST184, so I'll be interested to hear how you go restoring and upgrading this one.

5Sge yes that was the plan! The 5s & 3s blocks looked to me to be very similar so i had a brain wave to put 3sge head on the 2.2'being new to this type of thing I got a 5sfe VRS set first and put the head gasket on the head It didn't look right Combustion rings etc looked ok but the water ports were not good so I went for the 3sge VRS kit put the headgasket on the block as a template marked the block and drilled the extra water ports. easy peasy!! But I was a dickhead I near made a boo boo I had the enging together put the tbelt on and proceded to turn the enging over by hand after three turns it locked up fark these things have valves like pennys on sticks lucky no bend!! The bottom crank gear is one or two teeth smaller on the 3sge to the 5sfe!!! one to keep in mind if ever ya give this one a shot!
