Here's the deal... I have red cars with black bumpers. If I want to spray the metal between the bumpers to finish off the 'red panda' look, what prep work would have to be done to the metal so it would be a half decent job? Would masking tape be sufficient to mark the line for prep work and paint?

Sand paint with 1500 inbetween coats
Clear coat on top

Ok... what would you use to mask the line for sanding?

Thanks
