Black Widow Car Alarm Info. Tue, 05 July 2005 12:41
Hi, I was hoping to get some help as I have installed a Black Widow bw1000 and a Black Widow BW500 into a mate's car.
The alarm works perfectly and the central locking works well with it's own module.

Now the alarm module has inbuilt relays for the central locking.
The alarm instructions tell me which wires are which.

But the central locking instructions only have a picture on how to wire it up not what each wire is for. I was wondering If someone here has installed this brand of alarm before and could please tell me how to hook the two together so the car can be unlocked along as being disarmed too.

The BW10000 instructions say this for the central locking:

POWER DOOR LOCK:

Build in door lock relays provides the relay dry contacts door lock/unlock function.

a.lock relay

YELLOW: relay common contact for door lock power.
BLUE: relay normal close contact.
BLUE/WHITE: relay normal open contact

b.unlock relay:

WHITE: relay common contact for door unlock power.
BLUE: relay normal close contact.
ORANGE: relay normal open contact.

Now the wires for the central locking are,
Blue,
Green,
White,
Brown,
Red,
Black,
Now I know the Red is positive and the black is negative.
Pretty sure that the blue and green are the lock and unlock pulse.

Also on the alarm there are wires trunk(-), now does this get hooked up to a relay on the feed of the relay coil or the negative side as the instructions say this provides a 500mA capable negative signal?
Same with Starter(-) wire.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim Cool
