Would it be worth retaining one of the small stock turbos and making a plate on the original manifold to suit a T04 ? would It help eliminate lag or am I dribbling shit again

I dont think it would be, cause both turbos provide boost at the same time normally with the twin CT12's...
I assume you mean a setup like in the JZA80 supra, whereas one provides lowdown power and the other one comes in at higher RPM?
Dunno if that would be possible on a 1GGTE.... if so, sounds like an intriguing idea

I just thought the C12 would spool quicker than the T04 and in turn bring the T4 on quicker

It would help if both turbos didn't boost at the same time on 1G's. You can try running un-matched turbos and see how long the engine lives

If you're thinking about bodging together your own home-made sequential turbo setup, forget it. People a lot smarter than you have tried it and given up.

Just run the T04 and a bit of N2O that will spool it up nice and quick

I have seen it done on a 1ggte (stock turbos and manifold) but not with two different turbos, they were the stockos and ran a sequential setup, one would spool provide boost and the second would kick in.
But I have moved a lil off track from your query..

Wow... I bet that was the most unresponsive 1GGTE ever made. The CT12's are only little turbos, having them run in a sequential setup would be next to useless.

probly better off haveing an SC14 s/c running as well as you TO4. they would be boost from idle upwards and your big turbo isnt goin to be running of 3 cylinders.
