the diff in my corona wagon is leaking oil bad, and there is a bad knocking noise!
the diff specialist dude said it was the main bearings and seels or something, and quated $450 for the new parts and labour

is that too much??

ppfftttt you can buy a corona for that price. Is it a st141?

If so good condition diffs go for around $80-100 if manual.

its a 1978 corona CS wagon
problem is, there is NO cars like this in any wreckers in tassie

keep looking! or price up some freight. It's not a hard job to fix yourself with a 2nd hand centre.

leaf spring rear makes life easy... if you are hard on your diff take the tape measure to some hi-lux diffs

I dunno, i think if you try really hard you'll find one in a tassie wreckers. Here's a short list of southern wreckers that i recently rang around in search of some xA6x models. Only found 1 though...

i have a 78 corona wagon diff for sale $100, have lowered hardened suspension to go with it for a but extra
