Thanks for the replies!!

The Extractors are from a Hilux, probably 2 - 3 years old
They still have their blue paint on them.

I hear the Air cond compressor + Bracket are quite highly sought after - something about superchargers?????

Cheers!

im sure someone does...
hell i mite even be interested!

cos even those cams and pistons (9.7:1?) are worth that easily if parted out! Or if rebuilt you'd have one tough 18rg

Engine can be seen in Glenelg- it's at the mechanics.

Condition is currently unknown - We haven't even turned it since it came from the wreckers. I got two motors and dropped the other one in. This one's just sitting around.

As I said before it may be a bargain - could have great pistons and cams - but I don't want to tell people that because I really don't know. Once I have bought a motor that was meant to be in great condition and it was totally F(*&^*$*$ked!!! - I don't want to do that to anyone.

The $300 price means that there are 4 senarios:

(1) even if it isn't in great condition you probably can strip it, sell bits and get your money back that way.

(2) You may find it only needs to be freshened up to have a sensational 18RG.

(3) It's GREAT condition - if you have the time to fit it or test it you have the chance to make cash out of it. If she's good an 88230 complete should sell easily for $900 - $1500 - especially if you freshen it up with rings and bearings, and a valve grind with new stem seals etc.

(4) REBUILD - probably about $1200, but your right - THAT could be a REAL goer!! A guy in Adelaide will fabricate any piston you want - if you have a sample and engine bore measurements.

I just need the cash - my car has cost me too much already!!

Thanx

If anyone buys and strips this for parts, I want the conrods, not really anything else, just the conrods.
I'd want to know the part numbers though before I'd buy them.

Good luck with the sale, I hope you sell it soon to someone who wants to strip it and sell me the conrods.
