What are the rules with importing vehicles from Japan to OZ. For eg can you import an LS 400 say mid 90's into this country.

I don't understand how the 15 year rule applies.

Don't worry about the 15 Year Old Rule anymore. Anything made after 1989 will be an absolute biatch to import. The rules changed on 1 Jan 2005. See this: j-spec.com.au

or just go to DOTARS.. if you read it then you will understand.. if not, ahh well....

cars that are on the SEVS list can come in if they are certified by a RAWS workshop... or live in a different country for a year.
