Hey,
today was given a KE30 to do with what I feel like! Me and a mate want to rally it!
Any ideas on how to get OK for like $1000 to start off on or am I dreaming???

your going to need about $300 of that for cams licence, club membership, and expect to pay $70-$300 for each event.
but yeah a stock ke30, stripped back will be a nice little cheap car to get started on

strip the interior weld the diff
and if you REALLY feel like going this far weld the seams and add on some strut braces and a rollcage
but if your going this far i think you will need decent bucket seats

If your actually going to Rally it (ie at a club level, not just bush bashing) you will probably need some sort of cage as a safety measure. I dont know the rules, but this would only seem logical.
Then weld the diff and mabey buy some stuiffer shocks.
