Nice ride mate! I love sportivo's, and this is one tasteful example!

Is 120kw atw a good figure for sportivos? Arent they rated at 143 or 149kw or something around that? Is there really that much powerloss through the drivetrain? How much power is achievable through these motors?

Is that 141kw atw from the factory? why does the power decrease so dramatically? or are they inflated figures?

Very nice Smile

Such a shame tho that the New Sportivo Corolla's are all south african built..

Adleast if you got a Normal New Corolla.. any model, you had liturally half a chance of getting a jap built one Smile

but neverthe less, i hope it doenst give you any problems Smile

I love the way this thing is making over 90KW at the wheels before the big cams cut in.

People go around claiming that the engine doesn't make any power until you rev the nuts off it, but you don't see a lot of 1.8's making more than 90KW at the wheels at full noise. This engine would be lovely in a light little rear wheel drive car.

Maybe even an MR2 Wink

Not only a great figure on the dyno, but take a look at the A/F ratio when VVTLi kicks in.... it's got a second wind, and it looks like a heartbeat. Suddenly it spikes back up above 13:1 when it's taking more air in. I saw this on the rollers and when VVTLi activated, the car looked like jolted forward. The intake roar this thing puts out is amazing. Surprised Cam profiling - wonderful invention. Wink

Great job so far Dave. Very Happy
