intercooler piping 2" to 3" Tue, 12 July 2005 11:32 Go to next message
Hey All

Scenario
Im just bought a new front mount intercooler and like all the OEM coolers it has 3" endtanks.

All the pre-existing piping in my TA22 is 2"

the intake on my 3tgte plenum and outlet on turbos is 2", so i dont really feel the need to upgrade to 3" all the way.

Question
So hopefully my solution to the problem, Will a silicon hose reducer cause any issues like air turbulance or noticeable pressure drops.

this is the item i was looking at using if suitable

Any feedback will be appreciated

The answer is that the reducers will work perfectly fine without causing any problems. Now when you go to ARE speak to Richard and he will confirm the same.
