boost conts that allow diferent setting with each gear Wed, 13 July 2005 07:45 Go to next message
my mate has a 2002 Turbo Astra SRi.

he wants a boost controller that can change the boost level with each gear, i.e. 5 for 1st 10 for 2nd and 15 for 3/4/5

does anyone know who does these

I would think that the only way it could be done is with a sophisticated after market ECU (Autronic or Motec and possibly others) that allow for connection of wheel speed sensors.

i believe some of the current ones allow programming of boost vs rpm, TPS and gear selected..

http://www.superstreetonline.com/techarticles/3948 3/links here, but they are not the latest greatest ones....

I have an Apexi AVCR, im pretty sure you can set boost in gear.

Apparently the unit can learn gears based on rpm, throttle and speed sensor input.

Witzl and i wired mine up

i mean, they give you the pins to tap into if its a jap ecu.

But you need:

-Ignition
-RPM
-TPS
-Speed signal
-Ground
-Ground

They aren't cheap though.
