SC12 & SC14 question Fri, 17 January 2003 11:16 Go to next message
Hi
can anyone tell me if this info is correct, i am about to try to fit a sc14 to my 4y-c Carb motor, which when she blows up will become 4ye. inje
-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------
Was going to put one of these on my 3y.
But i have been told that the teflon seals on the supercharger dont last if your running a carb. Apparently they are designed to be run with efi, fuel injected after the supercharger. The clearances are tight and are designed to compress air only NOT fuel as well. Read this in ZOOM magazine. Just check first .
thanks
also if anyone out there has pics of the sc14 they would be appreciated

Yep neither of the Toyota SC's like to compress anything less compressable than air.

The only pics I have are these (used to have side by side pic but can't find it now)

Depends on whether you use a 'Blow Through' setup or a 'Suck Through' setup i would imagine Cool
