Hey all,

this pic is of a GZ20 -
What is this black box labelled in the picture? What does it do, also, what is that little cylindrical thing just above it?

That black box makes a buzzing/hissing noise when the car is turned off. . . why?

charcoal cannister it is.

Well, thats in the same place as an Ma70's one, so at a guess i dont know what else it would possibly be.

as for the noise...sure its not the coil making it?

looks like a charcoal canister to me aswell i cant explain the noise but ive heard a few of them making that noise

Yeah mine makes noise in my stock sprinter, Dunno why either.

I know its no help to you but just letting you know it happens to others.

Replace your fuel cap - a new one should allow air into the tank to replace the volume lost in fuel, stopping the charcoal cannister acting as an air supplier, causing it to hiss.
