TA22 Stuff Sat, 16 July 2005 02:45 Go to next message
Thinking about upgrading my Rally car so will have some stuff from TA22 (Early series, i.e Tank in floor/flat tail lights) up for grabs, will sell whole or part out.

2T-G and gearbox (2T-GUE converted to twin solex Carbies, requires tuning but is running ok, clutch working but on the way out)

TA22 Radiator.

Spare Alternator and starter motor, 1 brand new Voltage regulator.

1 Disc brake rear end and 1 drum rear end.

Alloy Bolt-in 6-point roll cage.

Basically whole car, if you want anything else not mentioned here ask me.

Full Cage, but front struts do not have to be installed. As far as I know the Cage can be used in a Road registered car so long as only the rear half of the cage is installed. comes with padding. Am after $350 for cage.

Radiator is standard.

pricey diff...

are you looking at buying the diff?...

I am exercising my luxury of not being desperate to "give these items away"

you don't need to be desperate to "give" items away. If it's jus ta standard diff and you're selling to the toyota community. You'd think fair prices would be posted and in return when you want something people generally post fair prices back. It's kinda the idea of being in a club. But hey if you're not desperate to sell, and you are patient in waiting for cash while another classic car sits off the road because of your stupid prices, do as you will. I just thought someone with an interest in these cars would appreciate another awesome machine on the road...

A)I believe the item is fairly priced.
B)Ethical debates are meant to be in the discussions sections, not the for sale sections, but seeing as you have brought this up in my own thread, I feel I have right of reply.
C)I have bought items off fellow members of ths site, as have I also sold before. If I have found that an item was priced at more than I was willing to pay, I made an offer, if that offer was unacceptable to the seller, then that was fine, thats business. But I have never challenged anyones intregty as I feel you are doing here. So please feel free to have your whinge, but, as mentioned in point 'B)', please do so in a more appropriate forum section.

Over and Out.

Well hey, an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you think it's fair and my opinion of that differs, I'll cop it. I was in the market for a diff recently and purchased one in mint condition for 80 bucks. Others I had seen also in very good condition for around the 100 mark max. I do not mean to question your integrity. But hey, Money is in high demand...-"First you get tha Money, Then you get Tha Power, Then you get Tha women!"
-Call it a difference of opinion.

Precisely, a difference in opinion.

and once again to reinterate, opinions are to be voiced and discussed in a more suitable forum section, not a for sale thread.

thank you.

How much for the disc brake rear end!?

Please clarrify if $200 was for the disc brake or the std rear end.

As for the price I know celica spares sells centres for $120 and housings for $70 (not sure about his price on a whole rear end.. let alone one with disc brakes!)
