Getting the rear bumper off a ra65 Tue, 19 July 2005 11:00 Go to next message
I want to paint my bumper but can't get it off. I have undone all the screws the are holding the metal strip onto the body of the car and have taken it off.

What do I do to get the bumper off now?

The black rubber/plastic "skin" which is held on by about a dozen 10mm bolts from memory. Some of the are accessible from inside the car (behind the plastic trim) and some from underneath. Poke your head around and you should be able to find them all.

The rubber has gone kindof crappy so I have decided to colourcode (red). Not to sure what kind of paint I will be using yet. If anyone has some suggestions that would be great.

If you want the whole bumper off it's 6 times 14mm bolts inside the trunk or hatch of the car, located usually under a hole plug.
