Chemical Stripping? Thu, 21 July 2005 22:53 Go to next message
Hey
I'm starting to get down to bare metal with the strpping and was just wondering what a good grit sand paper is to get the rest of the primer off and not damage the metal. Alrighty, have a good one.
Thanks
Troy
P.S. Anyone ever noticed the little red toymods near the url. THAT IS SO COOL. lol!

Look at the last pics of the stripping discs. They are fantastic, wiped straight through paint and underseal without a problem and left the metal underneath really clean. They did chew out pretty quick which gets pricey at NZ$11 per disc, however flat panels would probably chew them less than my floorpan/wheel arches did.

These things are awesome. I just found they chew out much quicker when working on bogged areas.

thought this was about one of my ex's.she used to strip everytime she got on the chemicals.lmao

p.s scotchbrite pads work well.depends on how much is left to take off.i use them after sand blasting to get rid of the bits of paint that are left.
