4AGE is nothing too scary.
i wouldn't suggest learning with a 2 way diff. esp in the wet.

I think you would learn better with an engine that can actually do something.
I mean a 4AGE is about as quick as a pulsar SSS.
So whats the big deal.

i would rather have a 2 way than single pegger, at least you know when its going to pull 2 wheels unlike the single spinners.

personally id put the motor in first

sure, the lsd makes the car much more fun to drive, but the motor makes more difference to how fast you can go.

my car was still heaps fast in the hills before the lsd went in.

meh

if i bought a aussie spec right now and had $5000 extra to spend
it would be:

coilover fronts
shortstroke rear
TRD bush kit
lower springs
cambertops
tension rods and sigma arms
strutbraces front and rear
lsd rear end

then after

warm tune engine (272° cams, springs, ect)
exhaust and quads
microtec
wide wheels 14x8 or somthin
'cby esq' flares
ducktail

Re: FENSTA's new ride AE86 Sat, 23 July 2005 15:30 Go to previous messageGo to next message
short stroke rear shocks - when the car is lowered on normal shocks you have less of the STD stroke length to cushion uneven surface and may even bottom out, with short stroke, the stroke ength is moved down to accomodate the lower height. ie better stroke length and control is even.!

sigma control arms give extra camber due to being a far bit longer than std '86 ones. but they need new longer or adjustable or both tie rods to accomodate the change.

tension rods - beefier rods with adjust allow you to set up more castor on the front of the car to help with steering and control. reccommended to change these asap if you change any other front susp component.

Smile any more q's? im glad to answer them

beefier tensions you buy aftermarket (adjustable dont come std)
better tie rods can get from old coronas or buy aftermarket from japan (best)

Just after some opinions about stereos.
I've got a indash screen and subs and all the gear.
Should I fit it or shouldnt I? (got a mate who said these are drift cars not stereo cars but should it really matter??)
I just want a nice clean car thats tough but will the stereo wreck that???

upgrade your ECU and injectors to AE92 'green plugs'
100KW ecu and higher flow injectors too

easy to find coz of locally available SECA SX AE92's

Smile

{edit}

also, 3SGTE fuel pump from any turbo SW20 MR2 is also just as good and fits perfectly. thats what i run in my car Smile

Thought those plates sounded familiar for some reason! By the way, take it easy in the sprinter in ballarat unless you wanna loose it/your licence.
