I am talking 1j not 1g here BTW.
They say the reason they changed it is because they would rather the oil coming from cam covers to go to front turbo so that it blows instead of rear one. Therefore, a lot easier to fix.
So if you fit a catchcan to a "gen 1" it will filter oil out and therefore no oil to go in and assist blowing of turbos. Of course it is still beneficial to fit a catch can to a "gen 2" also, just IMO more important for a gen 1.

If anybody wants any engine parts from a 1g now is the time to get them as the engine will be thrown out soon. The sump and engine mounts are gone.
Turbos need new seals but as far as I can tell are good otherwise. Haven't checked exhaust wheels yet.
Engine is being fully pulled apart so ask for any bits you may need.

Im after a one-way valve from the vacuum assist line on the brake booster. I dont think it matter what car its from, as long as its Toyota.
Just blow though it from both directions to check if it works properly and PM me if it does.

Ok people,
there is a deadline on any 1g bits now. I am sick of having the engine so if you want any bits please speak up now. The engine will be here until 14 AUGUST 2005. After that it is going to the dump.

Are you crazy? I can't get that out without pulling the whole engine out! I could sell it to you after I have got the other one modded and get around to swapping the new stall converter in but I don't know when that will be?
