starlet vs. ae86?

I'm doing a n/a build on my ae86 and it's come to my attention that starlets (kp61's??) weigh a lot less. Even though I'm considering selling the ae86 and putting a 4ag into a starlet I'm wondering if anyone know's the weight difference between the 2 cars or how much a starlet weighs? Also if there are any other parts like the rear end or brakes etc that can be swapped between the 2 cars. Any starlet info would help, thanks.

it's all good. Yes my 86 is getting too much attention. I had one a few years ago and no one noticed, but now....

Are you going to use it for drifting? Because the really short wheelbase of the Starlet makes it kind of hard. Not speaking from personal expiriance ofcourse, just what I've read.
Having said that, it's not impossible, and will look alot cooler (in my opinion) crossing up such a small car!

no drifting. Maybe a little when I'm feeling saucy. Mostly just to have something quick and cheap that nobody will notice. It's hard to make a n/a 4ag fast so the lighter weight would help a lot. My car is only making 112whp (85kw?) Still curious as to how much the weight difference is betweent the 2 cars.

im pretty sure that the starlets weigh in at 750.KG
if not, its 650...
a very light, nimble car...
altho driving in high winds isnt very fun...
my echo is a max of 940kg, and that gets a bit light in high winds sometimes...
some downforce goodies will help that problem tho...
as nice as the 86 is, who fkn cares...they have been done to death...and over-priced...
the starlet would be sweet

I'd give my left nut for one....
Hmm... Actually no. Maybe my little toe.
I'd give my left nut for a mint hakosuka though as per the other thread on that.
Dude, go the Starlet. They are so cool.

Thanks for all the info. Are you telling me you can't get kp61's in Australia? I thought you had everything! That's why I check out this website. lot's of good info. 720kg, that's pretty light. My last ae86 was 990kg pretty stripped. I think I'll pick up a starlet the next time I see one (with isn't very often)
