As a realistic daily driver, I'd go the V10 BMW M6.

Fair enough. 6 of one half a dozen of the other. I only said the six because i have a Soarer and i dig the whole luxo coupe thang. There's nothing like a sedan sized coupe to convey excess!

When i got my Soarer I thought that a 4 litre V8 would be costly to run but surprise surprise, its as efficient if not MORE SO than my GT4. Large displacement modern engines have come along way, but you're right, its still a given that something with 10 cylinders is going to drink more than your average engine.

Getting there, slowly but surely.
