don't u think at some stage between the 50th and 100th spike getting impaled in his face, that dog would have started to think that attacking that strange, spiky, painful creature isnt such a good idea?

I wouldn't say that, but I may have been blessed with extraordinarily smart ones.

Anyways, I reckon that's a real picture. Bull terriers are terribly strong willed, and if it's been brought up to attack/kill things (very mouldable personality), then I'd doubt it would stop unless either it or the porcupine was dead.

thats a fuckload of spikes. i reckon the dog probaly tore the porcupine apart, especially after seeing how many spikes were in the others dogs mouth on that link.

I was mainly looking at the bottom of the first pic - the blood is on the end of the quills but there's none on the base. one would assume the blood would flow from the wound at the base of the quill to the tip. It's possible it is blood from nearby on the dog's face and it dripped there, of the dog shook it's head.. but it's the same for all the blood - on the tips of the quills, not on the dog's face of at the base of the quills

edit: I should add that the 3rd pic makes me retract my statement Smile
