Cracked Sump Mon, 25 July 2005 10:47 Go to next message
Well, the other day i went up a big hill and managed to bottom out which put a small hair line crack in the sump near the drain plug/bolt, which now leaks oil. I was wondering if any of you guys know of any cheap ways to fix this. Just a cheap way cuss i can't be bothered to lift the engine, take the sump off, weld it up and put it all back together again cuss the car only cost me $150 and is soon to be a bush basher. Soo any ideas?

Sam

wow.. so bodgy!!!!

JBweld, reinforced with some chux superwipes.... seriously.... but it has to be ultraclean for it to stick properly...
so, maybe roll the car onto it's roof, then clean the sump, then stick on, then roll car onto wheels agin...

or just drive it anyway...
