5mge ignition Mon, 01 August 2005 06:18 Go to next message
my 5mge no longer sounds close to starting at all, i thought it might have no spark.
after checking the coil with a test light, it has power, but the negative side of the coil seems to not be earthed as the test light doesnt come on, bit if i move the crocodile clip on the test lamp to the igniter that seems to be earthed fine and the test light comes on.
looking at the igniter there seems to be a wire coming from it to the negative side of the coil which is meant to earth it, this wire doesnt earth on the test light either.?

any ideas whats going on? im thinking a cooked igniter?
or could it just be some wireing somewhere ive mucked up?
it was working fine about a week ago

thanks, jesse
