hey i own a ae82 twin cam.. (red n black 86kw.. the engine is on the way out very soon. im pretty sure i'll be buyin a 100kw 4age from ichiban (good warranty)

now.. i know it will bolt straight in.. but are the ecu's the same or can i use my ecu still.. and the gearbox? i should be able to use mine hey?????

nup, do a search and it should show up what needs changing, from memory wiring needs changing, ecu and plugs need changing, for all the effort just out a 20V you know you want too Very Happy

it's nearly as much work to fit a 16v 100kW as it is to fit a 20V.

100kW and TVIS (86kW) use different ECU's, different looms and are in terms of individual parts, VERY different engines.

I would only get a 100kW 4age if you get the loom, ecu and all associated electroincs at the same time.

Your current gearbox will be fine and bolt up as stock.
almost all mechanical bits will bolt up/hook up just as they were on the 86kW engine.

The wiring and electrics are QUITE DIFFERENT.
