2t Will not idle

mmm i have just put a 2t back in my celica (pulled out the 2tg as it was fucked) anD it will not idle. it will run if you keep the revs up, however as soon as u back off it dies. i have adjusted the idle screw however when i first took this motor out of the car i did not touch the idle screw at all so i dOnt think it has anything to do with it. also right next to the auto choke there is a loose small wire with a male plug end on the enD of it anD i have been told it is because this isnt attached. Does anyone know where this goes, and/or why the car wont idle?

im pretty sure that wire goes to ign+
also check your timing, and whether u have a decent strong spark
|

its an anti-dieseling valve?
basically when it has +12v applied to it, it will open a valve
the valve is there to prevent the engine from idling when the ignition is turned off (without spark) like a hi-comp motor would do
just find a wire which is 0v when ignition is not in the ON position, and is +12v when the ignition is at ON and connect it to that
thats my understanding of things anywho

enjoy tryin to break the 2t, ive only managed to kill one and crack a valve spring in 5 years
