I'm a New South Welshman actually... but anyway.
Mongoose are not exactly known for there quality. They regularly get faults after a few years, and it will probably be cheaper to replace it with a better quality unit than get it fixed.
You will get a warranty with a new one, and if you do fix whatever is wrong with the mongoose it will most probably stuff up again within 6 months as they inherantly do.
