there should be an issue using on an ae101 ze as both use igition packs.

reason for sale is it came with my car ae82 4agze and have no use for. had it for over a year now and just sits around

there shouldnt be any issue it working at all

cool. Im still keen.
Can you explain what you mean by "because they both have ignition packs" Im still an amateur with auto electrics.

A friend of mine who did an ae92ze front cut still had to remove the tacho unit from the cluster on the FC and mount it into his own .

The problem with the ae101ze is the entire dash cluster is like one big circuit board, i don't think you can take it apart...

sorry for the delayed response i must have missed my email notification one this one

in short, the reason a stardard tacho wont work as they recieved there signal from a coil whereas there was no coils on 4agze

does that answer it or do i need to explain better

i have picked up the cluster now so if anyonme interested in pics ill try to get some

sorry, if you can explain it better that would be appreciated.
Im confused, i thought it was the 4agze's that had individual coil packs not 4age's??

Im still pretty sure i will be able to use it.

Pls send pics to baykatech@westnet.com.au

Cheers

the reason a standard ae82 tacho wont work as they work off a coil instead of individual coil packs like the 4agze

to have a working tacho you will either need a frontcut tacho like this one or modify the original to accept a signal from a coil pack

will have a pic up tonight
