power window surround urgent :( Thu, 04 August 2005 08:06 Go to next message
guys

i have power windows (standard) on my corona

recently, the top controls all just sunk in every time i pressed them

today i thought i'd try and investigate, so i tried levering the power window surrounding plastic out, and that really screwed things up as it now has cracks all over it Sad

I need a new surround if possible, and also some info on HOW exactly i'm meant to take it out? I thought levering it out would work, but it seems not? do i have to take off the arm rests completely etc.?

I MIGHT be able to super glue it together and get it reasonably ok for the time being, but i need a new one

unfortunately, i have an imporrted corona, and no1 else here seems to have it

it's an ST190 Toyota Corona

I found a picture that looks ALMOST like the one i want, except that mine is a rectangular shape and this one has a curve on one end

Can someone plz help me urgentlY Sad

upon further closer inspection, i believe it's not too bad, and unless i can get a surround really cheap, i'd stick with this one

can someone tell me how i'm meant to get under it, so that i can see why the switches are "sinking"?

can someone tell me how i'm supposed to get it off so i can actually fix my probleM? and perhaps superglue it back together?

As i said, the switches are "sinking" as if there's nothing underneath it.
