Hey,
Jeff with the starter motor we kinda screwed up the bolt, we were making our own thread in the bolt hole, this leading to fking the bolt and fking the hole and the adaptor plate, so we got another starter motor from the wreckers and the guy said there was nothing wrong with it and he told us to use the one we got from him and keep the recon one for spares, now were waiting at Blackwoods to get a new bolt.
Cya,
BTW Trent nice KE30

hey guys
I was washing the wheels and while i had them off i decided to check the brakes,
so i took off the drum on the back to be confronted by tram tracks they were that worn out there was grooves in them lol and the shoes had worn down to the steel, and the funny thing of all this is it had a pink slip done the week before hahaha dodgy bastards
anyway i get around to taking the front ones off to be confronted by the same thing tram tracks the pads were even worse, lol
so i got both drums machined and new shoes
and new pads and front disc's machined, bled the brakes and there as good as new.
Cost me $400 all up for all the bits and pieces plus old man's labor
the stocko steering wheel was having issues with the horn and it was worn, so after a look around for a decent KE35 steering wheel and couldn't find one i went and brought a autotecnica one plus boss kit $170
its all on now and all functioning
I also got a new front bumper off ebay, i need a back one now and then shes into the body shop for some dents removed,
that's all i can think of now
Cheers Trent

Well alot of stuff has changed since i last posted,
I got a great Autotecnica steering wheel for it, and a Pioneer 3750 Headunit with Pioneer TS-A6991 6x9" 5 Ways, bout the best 6x9's you can get from Pioneer,
Me and dad got the headunit in pretty easy, basic wiring and a bit of bush know how was all that was needed
So i went to put the speakers in to find out that the original Toyota Car Stereo speakers are smaller than the ones i brought, so the only way to cut it accurately means we need to take the rear window out, rubber needs replacing anyway,
So i just brought a new rear window and boot seal $198.60!!
Short term plans are,
Get straight guards off KE55 (anybody know if they are different?) Put on mine get them sprayed etc,
Get both bumpers Restraightened and rechromed.
Lower it
Near future
2" Exhaust and Extractors Quoted $500 for that, sound reasonably?
And some nice rims probably superlites or something.
Anyway more things will come,
First year apprentice wages arn't that appealing
Cheers All

Nice steering wheel mate! I wish that my KE30 was as straight as yours is. So what plans do you have for it power wise? Just a bit of work to the 3k or an engine conversion
Cheers, Calvin

Heya Calvin,
Thanks for the comments
Well considering i work at a Engine Rebuilder (Retorque) i might just take the 3K in and get duel valve springs etc, nothing too over the top as power doesn't really concern me, infact im pretty happy with the way the 3K performs,
I also forgot to mention in my above post that i'am getting a K50 asap as this thing revs its little guts out when you do over 80kph
anyway cheers Cal

yeah the four speeds are prety bad ey! my brother and i drove a ke38 from sydney to melbourne and at 110 the thing was screaming. when he took his foot off the accelarator you would think he put his foot on the brakes or something because there was so much engine braking

yeh i have one similar colour to yours a little more orange. however my brother was driving that and he had an accident and bent the chassis rail a bit. he has got this KE38 wagon for me but i would prefer a KE30 sedan or two door so i am trying to sell the wagon to fund the KE30. i am also currently building a little 2TG/3T hybrid for whichever car i have when it is finished
