Hi

I was wondering wats involved in puttin a st185 turbo on my st165. I hav heard that u need 2 put the 165 exhaust chamber on the 185 turbo or change the manifold...

Can sumone plz give me sum clarification

I'm no expert but i would think you would just need the 185 exhaust manifold to connect the 185 turbo. Much easier than your idea!

im pretty confident it would bolt to your manifold... is your manifold twin entry?

the st165 came with a single entry round inlet water cooled CT26.
where as the st185 was dual rectangular entry and was air cooled CT26.

i think you would have to change the exhaust manifold to make it fit, and from memory the cat had more holes where it bolts on to the turbo, and ditch the water intercooler stuff to make it all work.

but I am no expert Razz

Im not 2 sure if it is twin entry. I think they were only single, but im not certain

the gen1 (st165) was single entry where as the st185 was twin entry. Id suggest buyin a new manifold(auusie exhaust or theres even some ok looking ones one ebay atm) get the twin entry ct26 off the 185 and bolt on.Whil;e you're at it, gut that first cat and put in some straight through piping.
