I'm heading up from Canberra with some mates for a night at the drags (WSID), who else is keen to meet up/race on the 10th August?

So no takers?
I'll be bringing the GT8 up for a run if i can beat the limit cutoff (can't leave Canberra until 4:00ish).
No track specific rubber so just a test session to make sure it behaves itself on the track etc...ET will be interesting but don't expect to run any fast times.

Just re-read my post (I've been spending too many night hours driving the crazy roads around Adelaide) & severely doubt that my leaving earlier would help.
1400km + trying to stay awake for drags...
Stitt, do you have a vid camera you could take? I want to see Justen's car run somehow (I also would really like to see the crowd's reaction)

Not breaking anything is definitely the No. 1 objective so lets not get too excitied or you might find it all a bit anticlimatic
I know the rear outer CVs are the weak link being the original GT4 bits and much smaller than the rest of the rear which is JZA70 stuff. Not keen to trailer home so the launches will be pretty lame i suspect.
The plan is to source some decent drag rubber now i have a set of 16x8's for the rear and do some testing locally...so the tow home isn't so bad  Once that's sorted then back to WSID for a real attempt. The car should still sound pretty cool though

Justen You should be right when it comes to the cut off mate.
Cause its cold numbers have been down cause just the die hards are racing.

bugger. I'm crook as with the flu, dont trust my reactions to blast along next to a concrete wall at 180kph  Will still be coming up to sydney tomorrow to tune the car though.

BTW Justen, scrutineering finishes at 7:30, so as long as you get in the gates before then, you should be fine.
Depending how I feel tomorrow, I might hang around to watch the drags.

Well i went out and had a go, dont know what happened to everyone else, must have been scared of the cold
I managed a new best in the rolla, i still think it can be inproved with some new tyres so ill probally have another go in a few weeks
