Sub Oxygen Sensor Removal? Tue, 09 August 2005 04:04 Go to next message
My understanding is, these can be removed with no noticable effects - true or false? What do they do exactly, and has anyone removed one to find detrimental effects? My particular application will be for an 1994 ST205 GT4 Celica, any info welcomed?!

That sensor is to detect for when the cat overheats.

if u pulled that sensor outta ur cat and disconnected it, the "cat overheat" light should turn on man.

Basically it detects over lean or over retarded timing conditions.

not nesscarily..
i've got a dump pipe with no cat atm. and have been running this for awhile.

it runs rich with a crappy bov (turbosmart, and all other piston push types). doesn't stall anymore and gets slightly higher mpg
