4AG oil drain Tue, 28 January 2003 08:55 Go to next message
I've got the classic oil banking up in the cam cover problem with my 4AG, and I've got to fix a leak in the sump + replace the clutch+flywheel soon anyway, so I might as well put an oil drain on it at the same time. Anyone who has done this who can give me any suggestions? My other engine was a small port with the extra drain hose at the back of the head, and never gave any trouble.

Thanks all Very Happy

mrshin--> Try running 2 rocker covers with breathers instead of just the 1. Get a oil/air seperator made with 3 outlets, 2 for the rocker covers, and one back to the inlet manifold. Did it on a customer's car, and reduced the smoking quite a bit... Check the blow-by on the motor while you're at it... might be excessive.. Hope this helps!
