hilux 1uz gearbox double double mega

hilux rn85 2y with L40 gearbox 4 spd, wot 5 spd other than a hilux will bolt straight in without needing any mods, and if possible later be able to handle 1uz. ive asked this question but had to rephrase it

If you're planning on a 1UZ conversion you'll want a W58 gearbox. Unfortunately this is unlikely to be a direct swap for an L40, but I doubt it will be a difficult job.

Any of the G5x series boxes will work. The come with different ratios so pick carefully - the G55 has a really low first from memory.
You'll need a bellhousing to suit of course, but I'm pretty sure the 1UZ-W58 bellhousings from any of the regular bellhousing dudes will bolt up. Best you check to be sure.

to do a 1uz manual properly is about 2000
1200 to 1400 for belhousing
and rest is good gbox
castlemaine adapter fits both weak and strong gboxes
sorry i dont know hteir codes
they just have to be redrilled to suit the other type
not to sure if dellows can do both boxes
or it might be other way round
deloows can bve redrilled and castlemaine cant
best to ring em both
