My 1984 GTV Levin (JDM) Sat, 20 August 2005 10:39 Go to next message
Hi ya all.

I have been around for a bit, and I have decided to put my car on the members ride forum.

Its a 1984 GTV levin.

Mechanical

-disc brakes front and rear
-after market extractors
-adjustable cam gears
-256 degree cams
-TRD 2-way LSD
-TRD shock and RSR Springs
-heavy duty clutch (exedy I think I was told)
-hks air filter

Body

-Original OEM front bar and side skirts.
-TRD tail fin (also original), but its a bit fucked.
-Momo race steering wheel
-JDM interior
-Advan A3A mags
-Electric sunroof (rare, but even rarer on a GTV)

Condition

There is a little rust on the rear arch, sunroof and boot lid(probably alot more hidden under the fin). There are a few dings around the car, but overaul its quite neat.

Parts that I have to go on to the car

-AE111 quad throttle bodies
-Motec M4 ecu
-custom exhaust system (going to be done by Raceflo)
-J-blood front bar (was repaired cos of damage I did)and side skirts.
-Carbon bonnet
-Origin-Lab front flared quarter panels and rear flared arches
-CBY flares (But now selling these)
-Brand new Letter box front grille
-Brand new Momo Race steering wheel
-considering not to replace the TRD wing with another, but instead put a GT wing.
-Longchamps XR4 15 x 7.5 fronts and 15 x 8 rears.
-respray the car and get rid off rust and dents (considering either panda Red+Black or change it to white+Black)

Future mods (when I have the cash)
-Bigger cams
-forged pistons
-valve work
-flywheel
-half roll-cage
-bride seats

My car pics have been posted up by nightdevil for me check below.

Thanks night devil.

come to think of it, this car looks awfully familiar with the a3a's + panda, was this purchased recently or was on sale recently?

this car was sold to me not long ago, approxamately 5 months ago.

I paid $10,000 for it, but it came with the j-blood kit, carbon bonnet, and brand new letter box grille (all still to be put on the car)

I am considering on maybe changing the colour to white+Black panda. But the Red+Black looks cool too.

What do you guys think? Respray it red+black?

I think the wheels are Advan A3A like on th Drift Bible DVD.

If you're respraying your car can I have the old paint on the car? Razz

Planning to sell those A3A's anytime soon? You've got a nice set of xr4's already, you wouldn't want an ugly set of tri spokes would you? How about you throw them my direction for a nice price Very Happy Laughing

Leave it red panda, and dont put a GT wing on it.

Also, with the exhaust if it still sounds like it did when Damien owned it, its gonna be hard to improve on that exhaust note. It sounded awesome.

FKN hot dude! Congrats on such a nice find!
I love the bleeding panda scheme! I think when mine goes in for spray it will cop the same job with a deeper red and a black bonnet.
I have been searching for a set of A3As for a dam long time!
Are yours 13" or 14" by 6 or 6.5? Are they the +6 offset models or different offsets?
If xolent doesn't take those A3A's when you put them up for sale I will take them 100%!

Whatever you do don't change that paint scheme! How many bleeding pandas are there in OZ? I think I have only ever seen two through these forums, and one of them was this one, and the other one was a while ago and was probably this one too!
Love those plates too!

Cheers.

Hi. I have finally started to do some work on my car. Last weekend I installed my Trust Greddy DD exhaust system. It looks and sounds sweet. I am going to see what it sounds like with out the silencers that are in it (I heard that this exhaust is quite loud without them Very Happy ).

I cant post any pics for some reason, so here is a link to where I do have pics posted:
