Seriously

This thread is likely to turn very messy very quickly.

I'd advise research rather than simply asking asking to be spoon fed answers to questions on extremely common topics.

To answer your questions
1 A lot of different companies
2 It depends on what you buy, generally pistons come with rings and gudgeons
3 The metalurgy characteristics of the forging process compared to casting is both the advantage and disadvantage of forged pistons

unless you are massively increasing power output then the stock rods should suffice.

and for a road-going car that's not being used for track performance work or being boosted to high levels, i can't see the need for forged pistons either.

It's not like a 4age that's revving it's tits off to get power, and you're not into 3sgte power territory? If you're sensible about fuel, spark control, intercooling and turbo selection then there's no reason why stock pistons wont suffice?

If you think you're going to buy off-the-shelf forgies for a 2T-G, I don't like your chances.

The setup you describe will work but it will be pretty ordinary. Instead of forking out $1-1.5k on custom forged pistons, you'd be better off buying a decent turbo and proper fuel/iginition management. It's good to build an engine that can handle a bit of detonation, but much better to build an engine that doesn't detonate in the first place.

Since always, it's very old technology, go check one of the biggest complaints about a 3TGTE.

It's not that it cant, there are just things that will control it better, and can do ignition as well, without having to dick around with modifying dizzies to a "compromise".
