Remote oil filter kits. Tue, 23 August 2005 05:54 Go to next message
Just wondering if any one went ahead and got one of the remote oil filter kits from the group buy that Joel (TurboRA28) was organising (see here for the group buy thread)

I'm interested in the kit
P/N 10695 - Universal Remote Oil Filter Kit.

I know from reading the thread that IRALLY got one but I was wondering if anyone else got one.

My questions are,
Where did you get it from?
How much was it including postage?
When did you get it?
Was there any hassle getting it in from the US?
Did you order it online, over the phone or did you get it locally?

I have emailed perma cool and I'm waiting for a reply but I would like to hear from people who have purchased these.

Also does anyone know of other brand kits?
I priced a Speco kit from Autobahn today. They want $147.

Thanks guys. I look forward to your replies.

Yeah, I read that. Bit of a bummer.
Did you end up buying one for yourself after the group buy fell through.

20valve69corona: I'll try to post up any info I get.

I got an email back from Perma cool today and they said to ring Rocket Industries in Australia or to try http://www.jegs.com/ or http://www.summitracing.com/in the US.
I rang Rocket Industries and they only deal with account customers. They said I would have to go through one of their distributors like Autobahn or Repco.
I'll try Repco today and another place I have in mind.

To clarify my first post, I wanted to know if anyone bought them individually after the group buy fell through.

Thanks for the input and if anyone has any other suggestions please post them up.

Well, after getting a few prices I ordered a perma cool kit from http://www.hjcmotorsports.com.au/. There web site isn't much. I did it the old fashioned way and went to their store Laughing . Anyway, it set me back $138 and I should have it by the end of the week.

Repco quoted me $175 for the speco kit and $161 for the perma cool kit.

Thanks for everyones input.

Not planning on fitting an oil cooler at this stage.

The kit I am getting can be seen here.

Should be easy to fit an oil cooler to this system in the future if the need arises.

Perma cool also does a oil cooler and filter relocation kit. Have a look at their website.

Well, for those who are interested, I finally got my oil filter relocation kit today.

A couple of pics,

As stated before it cost $138 from HJC Motorsport at Penrith.

He also had oil cooler kits but I'm not sure of price.
