7m rebuild

Im rebuilding the 7m from my MZ20 soarer. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what cost effective things i should do to it while i got it apart? For example, porting and polishing or any of that sort of thing?

throw a set of ross pistons in, get the stock rods ground and shot peened, balanced, ARP studs and rod bolts.. follow the advice given many times about the head gasket and you will have a bottom end that can handle ~500hp+ easy.. if you can change rods and the sky is the limit
