i have been quoted $3000 to rebuild my 2tgeu.
should i get it rebuilt or buy a new engine??

unless you plan on modding the tits off it, get another engine.
of course, it's an arse old engine anyway, so the next one you get might be crap too... but at $3k, you can buy a shed-full of 2t-geus
