well it was a nice sunny day today so i decided to open my sunroof but now i cant get it closed. its always been a bit sticky and sometimes needs a bit of assistance in opening or closing, now its stuck.
i dont know if its the motor or the roof panel.
has anyone had this happen before, what do i do?
any places i can get it fixed?
any help would be great and before it rains again please Razz

I didnt know xA6x's came with a sun roof!! Im missing out! Any chance of a pic ? also.. have you tried forceing the old thing to close ? get angry hahah

yeah sure does come with a sunroof, its pretty sweet...........except when it stops working.
yeah ive tried forcing it dont you worry Evil or Very Mad lol

Missing out on water leaks, extra rust and reduced structural integrity. I wouldn't be too upset.

try spraying some nulon Nulube up the runners. also, try removing the whole damned thing... sounds like either a runner has come off the rails or really well seized. i would be thinking its come off the rails.

If you take off the switch on the roof, the electric motor is behind. It has a slotted screw that you can turn with a straight blade screw driver to manually close the roof.

the screw doesn't budge. i think the sunroof is stuck. the motor turns fine....unless the cogs in the motor have worn teeth.
